In the week beginning the 13th of May, Victoria Road School Year 5 visited Port Erin Station where they took part in three tours, one around the old train in the museum, then on to the simulator and miniature railway and finally out on to the railway lines to see the pits and look at how the railway crossing and tracks work.
In the afternoon, they built their own sections of track back in school, which were then taken to Douglas on the Saturday to be put in one big track along with the other schools who had visited.
