Year 2 were very lucky yesterday to have visitors come in to explain all about the Manx traditions surrounding Melliah and Hop tu Naa.

They were shown different instruments (violin, penny whistle, low whistle and an accordion) and had great fun learning a traditional Manx dance and the song to accompany it.

They then discussed lots of Hop tu Naa songs they know and were taught the lyrics to a few more, whilst also being shown a carved turnip!

We would like to say a big thank you to Jo and Chloe for visiting us.
