This week in Brastyl 2 we started off with some work on shape. We started off by reminding ourselves of the Manx vocabulary for common 2D shapes. We then tried creating some repeating patterns with shapes. We used a set of 2D shapes to try and find solutions for one of the nrich interactivities: chain of changes. This is a great website to visit for problem-solving activities and often has interactive problems you could try out on the computer at home. We practised our measuring skills in Science this week as we investigated sound travelling and blocking sound. You can see from Aliza's face that she's not too sure about the effectiveness of the measuring wheel method. She stepped in to tell the others that they needed to count more slowly and look at the wheel!
