ST.JOHNS SCHOOL WRITES...

UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man are encouraging people on the Island to pick up three carelessly discarded pieces of plastic each day in public places such as streets, parks, plantations and beaches between now and the end of September.

Year 1 & 2 went on a litter pick in the car park and along the railway line next to the school. Our topic is ‘All Creatures Great and Small' and we talked about the dangers of plastic to animals and birds on land and in the sea before heading out. We were hunting for plastic which was collected in our blue box but picked up lots of other litter too.
