Ta Brastyl 2 er ve tarroogh dy jarroo! Last week Brastyl 2 travelled to Purt ny hInshey on the bus to take part in a Manx National Heritage Workshop about toys in the past. Jo showed us some original toys from Victorian times onwards and we talked about the different materials they were made of. Then we had the chance to get 'hands on' with a large selection of reproduction toys, which was great fun. On Thursday Dawn Dickens from the Manx Wildlife Trust came in to help us out with a science project. Aliza and Aalish had come up with an idea for an investigation to find out whether colour would affect birds' choice of nesting site. With some hard work we now have 4 different coloured nest boxes made and set up in the school garden. We are eagerly anticipating looking for inhabitants after half term.
