On Friday 9th November, our MHK Alf Cannan came to school to present every child with a special coin to commemorate 100 years since the end of WW1. Our head boy and girl also accompanied Mrs Riley to the church service where they laid a wreath on behalf of everyone from Michael School. A group of singers also attended and entertained the congregation with their versions of WWI songs 'It's a long way to Tipperary' and 'Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag'. We loved it when everyone joined in too and had lots of lovely feedback! Thank you to all of our children who impeccably observed the two minute silence also, you made us very proud.
